Most of the world still books appointments, chases refunds and reaches small businesses by phone. The Parlo app takes that call off your hands. You say what you need, the app dials the business, gets through the menu, waits on hold, has the conversation, and sends you a summary. This guide covers the app, not the chat concierge that buys top-ups and gift cards. Same company, different product.
Getting it
The app is on Google Play as “Parlo” by Parlo Labs. It is free to download. There is no iPhone version yet. If you want to know when there is, the home page takes an email address for exactly that and nothing else.
What a request looks like
You speak, in plain language. Some requests the app is built for:
- “Book a table for two tonight at eight at an Italian place near me.”
- “Call my dentist and move Thursday’s appointment to next week.”
- “Ask the garage whether the car is ready.”
- “Call the airline and find out where my refund is.”
The app finds the right business, places the call and handles the conversation. You can watch it happen: the activity screen shows which business it is calling, whether someone answered, and whether it is on hold.
What it will not do without you
Anything that commits you needs your explicit approval before it is said on the call. A reservation, a payment, a cancellation, a date change: the app shows you what it is about to agree to and waits for you to confirm or refuse. Nothing is booked on your behalf while you are not looking.
When a call needs a real person on your side, for example because the business insists on speaking to you, the app hands the call over to you rather than pretending.
What it costs
Downloading and setting up the app is free. Calls are paid from a balance of minutes that you buy inside the app; minutes are added as soon as the purchase completes. You pay for the call time the app uses, and nothing else. There is no subscription.
Countries and languages
The app works in more than 60 countries and detects your region from your SIM. It speaks your language and the language of the business it is calling, and translates between the two during the call when they differ.
Privacy
Calls are encrypted, audio is not used to train third-party models, and you can delete any recording, or your whole history, from the app at any time. The full policy is on the privacy page, and there is a one-request account deletion that does not require you to keep the app installed.
