How to become a Parlo reseller and sell airtime and gift cards locally

7 min read

Approved resellers buy Parlo credit at a wholesale discount and sell recharges and gift cards to their own customers. Who qualifies, the starter terms in actual numbers, the daily and monthly limits, and the one rule that gets a reseller paused.

In many neighbourhoods there is someone who sells phone credit: a shop, a kiosk, a person in the building everyone goes to. The Parlo reseller programme is for that person. You buy Parlo credit at a discount, spend it buying airtime, data bundles and gift cards for your customers’ numbers, and keep the difference plus whatever you charge locally.

One sentence first, because it shapes everything else: a reseller sells services, not balance. No credit ever moves from your account to a customer’s. You buy a recharge for their number, the same way any Parlo user can buy for anyone. The programme adds a discount to that; it does not add a way to transfer money. The reason is explained in the credit guide.

Who qualifies

Approval is automatic when four conditions are met, and the concierge checks them live when you apply:

  • Your Parlo account is at least 7 days old.
  • You have deposited at least 50 euros in total.
  • You have no payment disputes on record.
  • Your identity is verified: a government ID and a selfie, through a secure link the concierge sends you. It takes about two minutes on a phone. The check is offered only once the first three conditions are met, so a brand-new account is not asked to verify anything yet.

If you are missing something, the concierge tells you all of it at once, not one blocker at a time. “Wait four more days” is information you can act on; the reply is written that way.

How to apply

Tell the concierge, on Telegram or WhatsApp, in your own words: “I want to become a reseller”, “je veux devenir revendeur”. It walks you through the conditions above and files the application. An eligible account is approved on the spot on starter terms. An account that is not yet eligible has its application recorded and is told what to do next.

Starter terms, in numbers

Every new reseller starts on the same terms. They are deliberately modest; better terms are a decision an operator takes once you have a track record, and can be changed in one step.

  • Discount: 5% off face value. Deposit 100 euros and 105 euros of credit ends up spendable.
  • Float cap: 500 euros. This bounds the discounted value outstanding at any time, not your own deposits. Your own money is spendable as soon as it settles, like any account.
  • Hold: 48 hours. The 5% uplift on a deposit matures two days after the payment settles. Your deposit itself is not held.

Sales limits

The starter limits are sized to the 500 euro float:

  • Largest single sale: 200 euros.
  • Per day: 500 euros and 40 sales.
  • Per month: 5,000 euros.
  • Distinct customers per day: 25.
  • Sales to any one customer per day: 3.

Hitting the daily or monthly cap means you are trading well and is a reason to ask for higher terms. The last limit is different, and deserves its own section.

The one rule that gets a reseller paused

A reseller buying recharges for many different customers is a distributor. That is the thing the programme exists to support. A “reseller” sending recharge after recharge to the same two or three numbers is not distributing anything; that is a money corridor wearing a distributor’s coat, and it is the exact activity Parlo is not licensed for.

So the three-sales-per-customer-per-day limit is not a fraud heuristic and it is not negotiable. Breaching it is flagged for a human to look at, and repeated breaches pause the account. If your real business is one family sending money home, the reseller programme is the wrong tool and the concierge will say so; the referral programme may fit better.

Selling, day to day

  1. You deposit credit as usual: “add 200 euros to my balance”, then pay on the link. The uplift is granted when the payment settles and matures 48 hours later.
  2. A customer asks for 100 dirhams of Inwi. You tell the concierge: “top up 100 MAD on Inwi for +212 6 12 34 56 78”. The concierge quotes, you confirm, credit covers it, the recharge lands on the customer’s phone.
  3. You charge the customer whatever your local price is. Parlo is not involved in that and does not set it.
  4. Ask “reseller status” any time to see your terms, your float, and what has matured.

What the programme does not do

  • It does not let you credit another person’s Parlo account.
  • It does not pay out cash. The discount is credit on your account, spent on services.
  • It does not skip identity verification, whoever you are. The reason a verified identity is required is that the discount is money Parlo has put at risk before your card payment can no longer be disputed, and that risk needs a name attached.
